To Culminate

Computers are great, but don't forget to step away from the computer from time to time and live life . Then you'll have something meaningful to write songs about. There is no software to imitate heart.

I look at a computer merely as a tool, an extension of my brain. When I wake up, I turn the computer on, make coffee, and start my day. And the computer is on until I fall asleep. I sit down at it for a minute or an hour here and there all day and all night.

But I somehow lived life quite well for the 28 years before I even touched a computer, and wrote and recorded many damn fine songs before then.

A physical machine is an amplifier for your muscles , to increase the strength and breadth of the tasks you can do. A computer is an amplifier for your brain. It increases the amount of work you are able to do with your mind power, and it exponentially intensifies your ability to get that work out to the world.
