Locking Objects

 < Day Day Up >

Once you have objects precisely where you want them on the Slide Canvas, it's annoying to accidentally select and move them when you're trying to move another object. Prevent that problem by locking the object, which makes the object immovable . You can still select a locked object, but the only thing that you can do to it is unlock it; you can't move it or change any of its properties until it is unlocked.

To lock objects

1.
Select the object or objects you want to lock.

2.
Choose Arrange > Lock, or press .

The object's selection handles change to show they are locked ( Figure 5.21 ).
