A small number of content elements are used to provide additional information needed to fully specify the meaning of other content elements. These qualifier elements act as parameters that qualify the meaning of the content element with which they are associated. We have seen examples of many of these qualifier elements in the discussion ofother content elements in this chapter.
Table 5.3 lists the various qualifier elements along with their meaning and the other content elements they are typically used with.
