Just about every laptop computer includes one or more slots for PC Cards. Most new laptops also have slots for the more recent ExpressCard specification. Both 68-pin PC Cards and 26-pin ExpressCards are small and easily transportable storage media, network adapters, and other peripheral devices for personal computers.
To install a PC Card or ExpressCard, simply insert it into the slot. To remove it, click the Safely Remove Device icon and follow the on-screen instructions.
PC Card readers are also available as add-on adapters for desktop computers. If you buy one to install in your system, make sure it supports both 16-bit PC Cards and 32-bit CardBus cards.
