In the next chapter, I will explain some of the basics about setting up your database so that it's easier to protect. These basics include splitting your database into software and data components , starting up your database, and exploring some database design issues that will safeguard your data. Though these issues may seem a little introductory to some developers, they are fundamental and form an integral part of every database, protected or not.
