Risk and loss assessment are complicated, and there are many subtleties that only a certified disaster planner or CISSP can help you fully explore. However, there’s a lot you can to do help yourself: inventory your most valuable assets, identify threats that might cause loss to those assets, and estimate the likelihood that a particular threat will cause loss or damage. Taking these three steps will give you a much better idea of what’s actually at risk in your messaging system.
