My plan for this chapter was to provide answers to all those questions I've gotten from developers over the last few years. Additionally, I wanted to prepare you for some of the upcoming chapters in which we're going to dive deep into the debuggers and extend Visual Studio. I hope I was able to answer some of those questions about debugging and development floating around in your head. Finally, don't be afraid to ask questions of others. One of the big problems I've seen in my years of development is that many developers don't want to ask questions because they feel it's a sign of weakness that will prevent them from achieving Alpha Geek status. Nothing could be further from the truth! All the great developers I have ever worked with asked more questions than you could ever imagine. However, when they do ask a question, they first do their research and prepare in order to ask intelligent questions to not waste anyone's time. Asking good questions is what makes a developer an Alpha Geek. |
