Qinhuangdao is rich in natural resources including gold, coal, iron, lead and zinc. Sand and limestone are available in abundance and reserves of granite and marble are sizeable. The major produce is apples, haws, grapes, peaches, pears, walnuts, chestnuts and apricots.
