Preparing to Work

This project requires three movie files, an audio file, and a graphic still, all of which are provided on the book's DVD. You need to import these items into your project and create your first composition before the real work begins.

To prepare for this project, do the following:

1.	Start with a new project, and save it as Ch17HeartbeatCar.
2.	Import the folders named Audio, Footage, and Stills from this chapter's folder on the book's DVD. The Footage folder contains two AVI files and a MOV file, the Stills folder contains one PSD file, and the Audio folder contains one WAV file.
3.	Create a new composition named Heartbeat using the NTSC DV, 720x480 comp preset, with Duration 1;00 second.
4.	To keep your Project window organized, create a new folder named Comps and add the Heartbeat composition and all subsequent comps in this chapter to it. The Project window
