Every time you create a form on a Web page, you will also need to figure out where the information goes after someone fills out that form and clicks on Submit to send the data on its merry way.
There are a few ways to go about this: You can have the data e-mailed to you (or some other lucky recipient) which, for a low-traffic site, is a good option. For busier sites, you can have the data added to a single text file as the data comes in. Finally, for really busy sites, sending the data to its own dedicated database might be best.
In this section, we'll examine how to accomplish the first two options: having an e-mail sent to you or adding to a single text file.
