Some programming knowledge, formal training, or Internet scripting language experience is probably extremely useful. For example, Internet scripting languages such as HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, and ASP could all be very useful for reading this book. Relational database modeling experience and use of at least one relational database and XML use would help, too.
In-depth knowledge of computer programming and relational database modeling theory are probably not absolutely essential. There is no denying that these skills would certainly help. If there is something you do not understand you can always look it up elsewhere.
