Previewing the Finished Movie

Before you start building the first project, let's take a look at the finished video so you have an idea of what you're aiming for in this lesson. The project you'll be creating is a 6-second advertisement for Oakley watches. This short clip could be edited together with similar clips to create a looping video to play in stores that sell the Oakley watch line. This particular advertisement highlights some of the company's cool sports watches.

In the earlier lessons, you opened files in the Viewer using the contextual menu. You can also open a media file in the Viewer by double-clicking it in the File Browser.

1.

Close any open Motion projects.

2.

Open the Lesson_04 folder in the lower pane of the File Browser. Then double-click Basic Behaviors Final.mov to open it in the Viewer.

3.

Press the spacebar to play the finished movie. Then close the Viewer.

All of the movement in the project was created in real time with Basic Motion behaviors. Now let's open the first project, located in the Lesson_04 folder.

4.

Open the project 4-1 Basic Behaviors.

Now save the project.

5.

Choose File > Save As to open the Save As window. Name the project 4 - Basic Behaviors. Change the path to the My Motion Projects folder on your Desktop. Then click Save.
