Icons Used in this Book

Throughout this book, the following icons are used to point out special notes, tips, bugs , warnings, and compatibility issues.

Note  

This "note" icon calls out information of special interest, related topics, or important notes that don't fit well into the flow of the text.

Tip  

This "tip" icon marks ideas for shortcuts, alternate ways of accomplishing tasks that can make your life easier or save time, or techniques that aren't immediately obvious.

Bug  

This "bug" icon indicates known bugs within OpenOffice.org, the Developer's Guide, or other sources.

Warning  

This "warning" icon indicates pitfalls to watch out for, such as commands that have the ability to delete every file on your computer, unexpected behavior, or common errors made by users.

Compatibility  

In many ways, OOo Basic is similar to Visual Basic. This "compatibility" icon identifies behaviors, syntax, and constraints that are different in OOo Basic than in the different versions of Visual Basic.
