Computer crime cases are expensive to prosecute . Technical experts are required to explain the details of the information presented ” how it was collected and derived. Often evidence is collected from many network service providers across the country or around the globe. It may be required that people from these companies be brought to court to testify. It may well be that the case goes to trial in a court which is remote to your location. Long-distance cases increase the expense with travel, lodging, and time away from work.
