1. Using the CD-based Excel spreadsheet, create a simple budget (budget spreadsheet) today. Your budget doesn't have to be 100 percent accurate. As you gain additional information, add it to your budget.

2. Use the associated spending spreadsheet (weekly cash flow planning spreadsheet). The CD-ROM includes both of the forms in .PDF format and as Excel spreadsheets.

3. Take a few moments to analyze your spending for the past week and the past month. What does your spending say about how you value your time and efforts?
