Chapter 7. Producing Videos in the Movie Window

 < Day Day Up >

Once you've captured your video, still image, and audio assets, you will have created a huge collection of files usually far more than you'll want to include in your final production. The next steps are to cut out the fat and assemble the basic pieces of your project, all of which you do in Studio's Movie window.

The Movie window showcases the most flexible part of Studio's interface, providing three views of your assembled assets: Storyboard, Timeline, and Text view (called Edit List view on the Studio menu). This chapter discusses the strengths of each view and then teaches you how to customize and work efficiently within the Storyboard and Timeline views. Considering how much time you'll be spending in the Movie window particularly the Timeline learning the basics now will save you hours of work later.
