Rotating and Skewing Text

Here are two additional design options: rotate and skew.

To rotate text

1.

Select the text that you want to adjust and click the gray bounding box to display the control points.

2.

If the Move, Scale, and Rotate tool isn't selected, click the icon to enable the tool (Figure 10.36).

3.

Move the pointer over the green control point atop the text object.

The pointer changes to the rotate pointer (Figure 10.46).

4.

Drag the pointer to rotate the text to the desired position.

A dotted-line bounding box follows your progress.

5.

Release the pointer when your text is in the desired position (Figure 10.47).

To skew text

1.

Select the text that you want to adjust and click the gray bounding box to display the control points.

2.

On the Title Editor toolbar at the bottom, click the Set Kerning, Leading, and Skew tool (Figure 10.42).

3.

Position the pointer over one of the control point corners.

The pointer changes to the skew pointer (Figure 10.48).

4.

Drag the text to the desired location.

A dotted-line bounding box follows your progress.

5.

Release the pointer when your text is in the desired position (Figure 10.49).
