One of the most useful things you can do with ColdFusion MX is connect to and use information from a database to power your web site. Before doing that, however, we have to understand what a database is. In this step, we will look at databases and how they are structured. We also will touch on some of the different database products on the market, and most importantly, we will see how we can get at the information stored in a database and use it in our web site.
