Utilizing the Cisco CCO Site

Cisco's Web site provides a wealth of information regarding everything from new technology developments to code upgrades. For some people, it is almost too much information to gather, so carefully defining your search on the site is helpful.

The Cisco Connection Online (CCO) is designed for you to see any information regarding your equipment and any changes or " bugs " that have been found. The information pages enable you to see IOS configurations for routers and switches, along with troubleshooting tools. The CCO does provide more extensive information if you have a login account, in which case you are provided with extensive technical documents, Cisco code upgrades, detailed product information, and access to TAC.

To obtain a login account for CCO, you must be registered online as a Cisco user who has purchased a service contract from Cisco, an authorized Cisco partner, or be a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).
