14.1 The Problem

The case study is a large Internet store. I want customers to be able to make purchases through browsers. I also want to create a close relationship with my vendors. I will let my vendors check for themselves to see how much of their inventory I have on hand. Doing this will allow my vendors to make good predictions about when I am likely to need to reorder. Vendors will be allowed to look at only the inventory items that they provide. Vendors will request inventory information programmatically.
