As you move deeper into video production, you may want to expand your artistic horizons by branching out to one or two graphic art “creation programs. Adobe Photoshop is the image editing tool of choice for just about any artist with a computer. Photoshop Elements, a much less expensive subset of Photoshop, is an excellent means to test the waters. It has most of Photoshop's features for a small fraction of its price.

Adobe Illustrator offers excellent resources for artists looking to create scalable graphics geared for print and Web pages. In addition, video producers frequently rely on it to create original art destined for a video project.
