In this chapter, we saw that painting two seemingly complicated subjects, a rather strange creature and candlelight, is not as hard as you may have thought. If you use a little planning and forethought, painting this subject matter is no harder than painting anything else. Because you will not only be painting characters that are unclothed, in the next chapter, we will be painting fabric and, more specifically , a white gown on a figure. Chapter 20 focuses on a very basic technique for painting one kind of cloth. Most all other types of fabric, clothing, and costume can be based on these techniques.
