This brief but important chapter covered TOAD's two primary database object reporting capabilities: Standard Database Reports produced by the TOAD Reports program, and customized reports produced by the HTML Schema Doc Generator. Initially, TOAD attempted to provide predefined reports for every imaginable user need. But users need database object reports at different times and for many different reasons. Therefore as user needs for new reports and customization increased, the new Schema Doc Generator was introduced to meet those needs.

The next chapter covers exporting data out of your database and into files using TOAD's numerous data extraction capabilities. From extracting ASCII delimited text to exporting Oracle dump files, TOAD makes saving data out of the database a snap.
