Approach of This Book

Note that this book's approach is very task-oriented and extremely visual. Each chapter covers logically related tasks that a TOAD user might perform, with ample figures to both elaborate and demonstrate key features for that task. For example, the section showing how to use TOAD's Create New Database wizard walks the user through screen snapshots of each phase, with highlights of those issues that are critical to achieve the greatest success in using that feature. Although this format makes for more figures than other books, we feel that the information is presented in the absolute best format for achieving the greatest success in leveraging TOAD's many features.
