The ink picture control allows Tablet PC users to create an image by drawing. Ink picture controls would be useful to allow, for example, a safety inspector to sketch out a floor plan on a site visit. It is possible to use an ink picture control to add a conventional signature to a form. However, that technique shouldn't be used if security is a significant issue, because an ink picture control is not intended as a secure signing feature. Digital signatures are the preferred technique, and they're described in Chapter 12, "Security and InfoPath Forms." To learn more about digital signatures, see "Digitally Signing an InfoPath Form," p. 228 (Chapter 12). |
