9.3 Conclusion

Now, after substantially more pages than originally planned, the author's task is complete. I tried to write the book that I would like to have been able to buy years ago; a chain of fortunate circumstances has made this book possible.

For you, however, the fun, hopefully, is only just beginning. Perhaps you're a seasoned software developer charged with adding proper GNOME support to a package or building an entirely new application. Then again, you may be an enthusiastic volunteer developer or maintainer, serving only your imagination (and the GNOME Project, of course). Or maybe you are somewhere in between.

In every case, I hope that you happily reach for this book whenever you need it. Its publication represents the fulfillment of my personal GNOME 2 dream. I hope that your GNOME 2 dreams come true, too.
