Chapter Objectives
iTV content formats are essentially Internet content formats. The roots of these content formats are in the personal computing industry which evolved into the Internet. Presented are formats for storing graphics (GIF, JPG, PNG, MNG) audio (AU, MIDI, MP3, CDA, WAV), and video (MPEG, QuickTime, AVI) data. A few asset management formats are presented as well (UMID, KLV, DPX, GXF, AAF, ZIP, JAR). This chapter is intended to serve as an introductory overview rather than a complete reference. |
