A computer that is managed by the administrator through restrictive profiles and Group Policies.
Master Boot Record (MBR)
Contains a pointer to the location of the active partition on the hard drive, as well as the code needed to begin the startup process.
member server
Any server that is a member of a domain that is not a domain controller.
MMC
The Microsoft Management Console (MMC) is the de facto tool for administering anything and everything in Windows Server 2003. The MMC itself does none of the administration; it is simply a shell into which administration tools called snap-ins can be added, modified, and removed.
microsoft update

mirrored volume
A fault-tolerant disk configuration in which data is written to two hard disks, rather than one, so that if one disk fails, the data remains accessible.
nested group
When a group is a member of another group. Nested groups are allowed only at the Windows 2000 native and the Windows Server 2003 domain functionality levels.

A printer that is not physically attached to a print server. Usually connected to the network via an Ethernet interface.
