Used to back up only the files and folders that have been created or modified since the last normal or incremental backup. It reads the archive bit to determine which files need to be backed up. It then changes the archive bit of these backed-up files so that the next time the backup program is run, these files will not be backed up again unless they are changed.
Input/Output (I/O) port
An I/O port is a channel through which data is transferred between a device and the CPU. It acts like an area of memory that can be read from and written to by the device and the CPU.

The terminology used to refer to multiple occurrences of the same type of object, such as in a multiprocessor server, in System Monitor. A separate instance exists for each processor.
