Rotating an Object

 < Day Day Up >

The next step is to rotate the bottom triangle so that it points upward. You can use the Scale tool to rotate the triangle, or you can use a command. In this example, either way works fine. You might want to try both methods to see which one you prefer.

1.

Select the bottom triangle.

The triangle appears with blue handles.

2.

Do one of the following:

  • Choose Modify > Transform > Rotate 180°.

    or

  • Select the Scale tool on the Tools panel. Move the pointer close to, but not touching, the triangle. When you see the circular cursor, drag the triangle around 180 degrees. Hold down Shift as you drag to pop to 90-degree increments as you rotate the object.

3.

Press Enter (PC) or Return (Mac) when you complete the rotation.

You want this second triangle the same distance within the circle as the first one. Use the arrow keys to move it up or down, if needed.
