Okay, okay…I know what it sounds like, but this one won’t cost you any money.

The bar tab marker is shown in Figure 8-13. I’ve never found a particular purpose for this tab setting. However, there are many Word users who do special things such as legal documents or medical transcription, and it may very well be perfect for some users.

Using the bar tab does not appear to do anything more than place a vertical line on the tabbed list, as shown in Figure 8-14.
