Part VI: The Part of Tens

team lib
Chapter 22: Ten Tips for Installation and Configuration
Chapter 23: Ten Steps to Networking Nirvana with Windows Server 2003

In this part

When Moses came down from the mountain, how many commandments did he carry? Ten. How many fingers do most people have? Ten. On a scale of one to ten, what's a perfect score? Ten. We're not entirely sure that all these things are necessarily connected, but that number shows up everywhere, even on the Late Show with David Letterman . Perhaps that's why The Part of Tens is a key ingredient in this and all other For Dummies books. Then again, it could just be a coincidence

Each chapter in this part includes a list of tips, tricks, techniques, reminders, and resources for inspired information about your Windows Server 2003 system and its network. We'd like to claim the same source of inspiration that Moses had for his commandments, but our Part of Tens comes only from the "School of Hard Knocks" next door.

These chapters have been constructed to save you time, steer you around common networking potholes, and get you safely past common sources of chaos and confusion. The best part of tens, however, is one that doesn't appear directly in this part of the book - that's the part where you hold your breath and count to ten as you begin to lose your cool. If you try that part first, the other Part of Tens will do you a lot more good!
