What Happens When a Catalog Is Assigned to a Device

When a catalog is assigned to a device, ZENworks attempts to install the RPM bundles in the order in which they are listed in the catalog. When the device performs a refresh, which is done at boot time or when the scheduled refresh interval is reached, the device becomes aware of any newly assigned catalogs.

To change the order of RPM Bundles in a catalog, follow these steps:

1.

Open the ZENworks Control Center.

2.

Click on Bundles on the menu at the top of the screen.

3.

Click on the name of the catalog you want to modify. You see a screen similar to Figure 8.7.

4.

Click the Advanced option on the title bar of the Bundles snapshot. You see a screen similar to Figure 8.8.

Figure 8.8. The Edit Bundles Advanced page.

5.

Check the boxes next to the bundles you want to move. This activates the rest of the menu options.

6.

Choose either Move Up or Move Down to change the order of the selected bundle(s).

7.

Click Close to go back to the Catalog Summary page.
