Chapter 16

In this chapter, we'll see how COM+ can help us simplify the code in some typical components of the application. We'll concentrate on this simplification of existing code rather than take advantage of new COM+ features such as queued components or the Compensating Resource Manager.

In the MTS version of the sample application, we took advantage of two features of MTS. One of them was the context object; the other was the IObjectControl interface. In this chapter, we'll take a look at those two features from a COM+ rather than an MTS perspective. We'll begin with the IObjectControl interface.
