There are many file formats and applications that can be used to share information with Microsoft Project 2002. One of the most convenient and useful is Microsoft Excel.

To transfer information between Microsoft Project and Excel, you might use one of the following methods:

• Copy and paste the information as you would in other Microsoft Office applications.
• Copy and use the Paste Special command to place the selection in Microsoft Project as an object.
• Import information from Excel into Microsoft Project or from Microsoft Project into Excel.
• Export information from Excel into Microsoft Project by using one of the new Excel-to-Microsoft Project templates.
• Export information using the Export Wizard in Microsoft Project.
