1Base5.
1Base5 is the implementation of 1Mbit/sec StarLAN, which is wired in a star topology.
10Base2.
10Base2 is the implementation of the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet standard on thin coaxial cable. Thin Ethernet or thinnet, as it's commonly called, because the cable is half the diameter of 10Base5 Ethernet cable, runs at 10Mbits/sec. Stations are daisy-chained along a terminated bus topology, and the maximum segment length is 185 meters .
10Base5.
10Base5 is the implementation of the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet standard on thick coaxial cable. Thick, or standard Ethernet, as it's commonly called, runs at 10Mbits/sec. It uses a bus topology, and the maximum segment length is 500 meters.
10BaseF.
This is the specification for running IEEE 802.3 Ethernet over fiber- optic cable. It specifies a point-to-point link.
10BaseT.
10BaseT is the implementation of the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet standard on unshielded twisted-pair wiring. It uses a star topology, with stations directly connected to a multiport hub. It runs at 10Mbits/sec, and it has a maximum segment length of 100 meters.
100BaseT.
The 100Mbit/sec Ethernet standard, 100BaseT, is defined by the IEEE 802.3 committee for two pairs of unshielded twisted pair (100BaseTX), for four pairs of unshielded twisted pair (100BaseT4), and for fiber-optic cable (100BaseFX).
3+.
3+ was 3Com's network operating system that implemented Microsoft MS-Net file sharing and Xerox's XNS transport protocols. 3Com no longer sells 3+.
3+Open.
3+Open was 3Com's network operating system based on Microsoft's OS/2 LAN Manager. 3Com no longer sells 3+Open.
