17.3 ETSI

   


The European Telecommunications Standards Institute develops standards and reports for its member countries . ETSI was formed in 1988 to carry on the work that had previously been done by CEPT. In 2001, ETSI membership consisted of 789 members from fifty-two countries within and outside of Europe.
