Certified Computer Crime Investigator (CCCI)

The Certified Computer Crime Investigator (CCCI) is offered at two levels- Basic and Advanced. Each exam costs around $500.

CCCI Basic Requires two years of investigative experience in any discipline (law enforcement or corporate) or possession of a college degree and one year of investigative experience in any discipline, 18 months of experience directly related to the investigation of technical incidents or technical crimes (law enforcement or corporate), successful completion of 40 hours of computer crimes training course(s) provided by an approved agency, organization or training company, and documentation of the candidate's experience derived from the investigation of at least 10 cases.
CCCI Advanced Requires three years of investigative experience in any discipline or a college degree and two years of investigative experience in any discipline, four years of experience directly related to the investigation of technical incidents or technical crimes, successful completion of 80 hours of computer crimes training course(s) provided by an approved agency, organization or company, and documentation of the candidate's experience as lead investigator in at least 20 separate cases and involvement in at least 40 other cases as a lead investigator or supervisor or in a supportive capacity.
