No lectures; I’m not your mom. Personally, I see nothing wrong with a beer or whatever over lunch while you’re negotiating. Just keep it at an appropriate level. Alcohol definitely dulls the senses.

And, uh, if you’re not feeling well: Don’t negotiate.
