About the Author

Eduardo Miranda is currently a program director at Ericsson Research Canada. Before joining Ericsson in 1996, he was the manager of the Software Engineering Process Group for Lockheed Martin Canada. In total he has more than 20 years of experience in the development and maintenance of real-time and information management systems.

Mr. Miranda has a B.Sc. in system analysis from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, an M.Eng. in engineering management from the University of Ottawa, Canada, and an M.Sc. in project management from the University of Link ping, Sweden.

He has published more than 10 articles in the areas of software development methods, estimation, and project management. He is an industrial researcher affiliated with the Universit du Qu bec in Montr al, Canada. He has also been a university professor in his native Argentina. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society.
