Not Just Friendly But Practical

This book was written with OOo. Prentice Hall edited with Microsoft Office, but I did my final revisions in OOoand saved them in Microsoft's .doc format. The fact that this book got completed and you're reading it is proof that OpenOffice.org users can share files with Microsoft Office users. It's also proof that OOo is all the office software an author needs.

I also use OOo for all my administrative tasks, from filling out purchase orders to creating and editing spreadsheets.
