Clarifying Your QuestionAnd Your Answers

Once you've submitted a question, you may find that you're not getting any answers. If this is the case, you may want to clarify your question, in the hopes of better attracting willing researchers. To do this, go to your account page, open the question you want to clarify, and then click the Clarify Question button. This lets you enter additional information about the question. (You can't, however, edit the question itself.)

Sometimes it will be the researcher who needs a question clarified. If this is the case, the researcher will issue a Request for Question Clarification, which you'll receive via email. Return to the question page and click the Clarify Question page to answer the researcher's queries.

Finally, you may not always like the answers you receive to your questions. If you get a particularly muddy answer from a researcher, you can ask the researcher for clarification. To request such a clarification, open the question in question and click the Clarify Answer button. Enter your additional questions, and then click Post Clarification to let the researcher know what you need.
