Combination of Formats

If your application must access data from multiple formats, you may need to use one or more data access interfaces. For example, if an application connects to both ISAM and ODBC data sources, you may decide to use both DAO and RDO. However, this combination of formats is inefficient because of the additional overhead involved in supporting both object models. Consider using ADO instead.
