Chapter 4

Implementing SQL Server Databases and Tables

About This Chapter

In Chapter 3, "Designing a SQL Server Database," you learned about the process of developing a logical database design. From this design, you can implement the physical database by creating the database object and the user table objects within the database. You can then view information about the database and tables, modify the objects as necessary, or delete them. This chapter explains how to create and manage a SQL Server database, then discusses data types and how to identify which ones to use when creating a table. Finally, the chapter describes how to create these tables by using the data type information and how to modify the tables after you have created them.
