Positioning Service

The Positioning interface Position function allows the client device to obtain the location, velocity or track of the device. This may be implemented on the device or via a network service provider. The Location function allows the use of addresses and other location information that is defined relative to geographical entities such as roads or buildings.

The Positioning service has two functions:

  The response schema defines the form of the returned requested information. http://www.MAGICServicesForum.org/Registry/Schemas/Position_Response_t/Base.xsd/
Location The request schema defines the structure of location information that is defined relative to elements modeling geographical entities such as roads, buildings, or other points of interest. http://www.MAGICServicesForum.org/Registry/Schemas/Location_Request_t/Base.xsd/
