Lift and Stamp

If you have a series of images shot under the same conditions, then you can take advantage of Aperture's ability to apply a set of image adjustments to another image or group of images simultaneously. You can choose to copy some or all of your changes. In Aperture, this process is called lift and stamp.

1.	Press F to exit Full Screen mode.
2.	Click the close button to close the Adjustments and Spot & Patch HUDs.
3.	Click the Lift tool located on the toolbar above the Viewer (second button from right).
4.	Click directly in the image in the Viewer. Once you click an adjusted image you will notice that the Lift & Stamp HUD displays a list of the image properties.
5.	Click the disclosure triangle next to Adjustments to view the image adjustments. Click to select Spot & Patch from Adjustments and press Delete. You can simply select which image adjustments you wish to stamp onto another image from the list.
6.	Click the third thumbnail from the stack in the Browser. Notice that the cursor is now pointing down, indicating that it has toggled from the Lift to the Stamp tool. Each time you click an image, the Stamp tool places the selected adjustments on that image. If you want to apply the Stamp to more than one image at a time, simply press the Shift key as you click-select multiple images.
7.	Press A to change your cursor to the Selection tool. Note You can use the Lift and Stamp tools to copy and paste everything from metadata to filters and effects from one image to another. Simply select which properties you wish to copy from the Lift & Stamp HUD and stamp them onto another image or group of images.
