Lesson 4. Saving and Archiving
Every photographer knows it is essential to have a safeguard against data lossa fail-safe way to protect your valuable images from drive failure. Fortunately, Aperture has an advanced method of archiving your entire Library. Called the vault, the feature works by creating a mirror image of your Library on an external device, such as a FireWire drive. You can connect multiple drives and set up as many vaults as necessary. The Vault update is cumulative, so once you have performed your first backup, Aperture will automatically back up only those files that have changed in the master Library. |
