Making a Slide Show

I mention earlier in this chapter (in the section “Ordering Prints and Making Books”) that Mac users can use iPhoto and Windows users can use Photoshop Album to create a slide show. Both Mac and Windows users can also create one easily right in Photoshop.

Follow these steps to create a slide show in Photoshop:

  1. Open all the images you want to include in your slide show.

  2. Shift+click on the Full Screen Mode button displayed at the bottom of your Toolbox.

This hides everything on your desktop.

  3. Press Tab to hide the menu bar and palettes.

  4. Press and hold the Ctrl key and press Tab to cycle through each of your images.

  5. When you’re done, press Tab to get your menu and palettes back. Then Shift+click the Standard Screen Mode button at the bottom of your Toolbox.

You can also use the Web Photo Gallery feature in Photoshop to create a slide show. Choose File Automate Web Photo Gallery. Select Horizontal Slide Show from the Styles drop-down list. Choose your folder of images, and Photoshop creates a slide show that you can preview in Photoshop. Then, you can post the photo gallery to the Web for others to see. Check out the details of using the Web Photos Gallery feature in Chapter 20.
