Source Code Change Management

Source code change management is integrated directly into the C#Builder IDE (see Figure 5.11). To add an application to source control, select the project group in the Project Manager window and then select Team, Place Project into Source Control. When the project is in source control, the files in the project can be checked in and out and managed directly through the Team menu.

Source code management is only available in the Enterprise and Architect versions of C#Builder. Also, you need to select Tools, Source Control Options to select the source control provider you will be using. The source control provider may be any that implement the Microsoft SCC API.

C#Builder source control accepts different types of source control applications, including TeamSource and Visual SourceSafe. Any source control application that implements the Microsoft Source Code Control (SCC) API can be integrated.
