Section 6.6. How are enterprise service definitions created within the ES-Community?

6.6. How are enterprise service definitions created within the ES-Community?

Services are defined using two relatively similar processes in the ES-Community: a request process and a review process. The request process is used when SAP or another member of the community has an idea for a new service or a request for a change to an existing service. Once the community has completed the request, it is channeled into the internal SAP process for determining what should be added to the platform, and the community is given clear visibility into whether that request is accepted for the platform. The review process is used after SAP has committed to adding a set of services to the platform, enabling the community to provide important input and feedback as SAP is adding the services. This review process also provides early access to the definitions so that community members can begin creating products around the services, and it increases the transparency of SAP's product plans for the services.
